The opportunityWe are seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst/Cost Controller to join our Boeing Defence Australia Finance team. This role consists of project financial management and reporting to support projects across the BDA Portfolio.This role offers the opportunity to challenge yourself in a fast-paced environment characterized by diverse daily challenges that keep the work interesting and the opportunity for exposure to the broader Boeing Enterprise and future career growth.Our Finance professionals play a key role in guiding critical business decisions and cutting-edge solutions for the world's leading aerospace company. The work that Boeing does contributes to aviation and aerospace products, technologies and services that make a difference in the lives of people around the world.Responsibilities:Stakeholder management including liaising with control account managers, finance team and Program LeadershipAnalysis of cost and schedule performance, communicate financial insights and project status to internal and external stakeholders.Development and maintenance of project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with cost account managersEnsure financial compliance and accuracy in collaboration with project teamsSupport the month end process with the required journals and reconciliations, including all required reportingSupport estimating and pricing activitiesRecognizing areas for continuous Improvement as well as participation in continuous improvement initiatives.Training and mentoring of other staff within the teamExperience/QualificationsThe successful candidate will ideally have sound knowledge across some/all of the following areas:Bachelor Degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforceRelevant experience in a project accounting, management accounting or cost control role6 or more years' related work experience in Defence Industry or other project based industries.CA/CPA qualification desirable.Intermediate / Advanced Excel Skills - Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.Ability to adapt to different situations, be proactive and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlinesGood communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to effectively manage financial aspects of diverse projects.Experience in Estimating and Pricing of varying complexity, ideal but not essentialApplicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.Boeing values that guide the work we do:Integrity — We are honest, transparent and accountable.Safety — We always put safety first in design, manufacturing and operations.Quality — We deliver products and processes that meet the highest standards.Customer focus — We aim to understand and exceed our customers' mission needs.Teamwork & One Boeing — We collaborate across teams and partners to accomplish shared goals.Inclusion & Respect — We value diverse perspectives and create an environment where everyone can contribute.Benefits Competitive Salary & Bonuses: Enjoy a competitive salary along with yearly bonuses.
