Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records for Ecocoast (GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, accruals, etc.)
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) as required by Management
- Support monthly close and year end close activities in line with IFRS
- Ensure intercompany transactions are recorded, reconciled, and eliminated correctly
- Support compliance with local statutory requirements across the business
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of all financial and regulatory requirements for the business, including VAT, Corporate Tax & ESR
- Manage annual audit preparations, year end closing, and liaise with external auditors to support statutory audits
- Support cash flow forecasting and reporting for Ecocoast
- Monitor receivables & payables, interacting with clients & suppliers to ensure timely collections & payments
- Ensure data integrity in the company's accounting systems, utilizing platforms such as QuickBooks or Reckon
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to multi entity and cross border operations
- Familiarity with IFRS and UAE tax rules is a plus, but a strong ability to learn quickly and adapt is essential
- Experience in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus but not mandatory

JOB PURPOSE – MISSION
- Ecocoast is a global leader in marine protection solutions, providing innovative and sustainable products and services across environmental, safety, and security sectors.
- The Senior Financial Accountant will be employed by Ecocoast, focusing on day to day accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting to ensure accurate books and records across multiple jurisdictions.
- The Senior Financial Accountant will work closely with the Ecocoast head of accounting while collaborating with local management teams to maintain proper controls, ensure compliance with international and local tax rules, and provide timely reporting to support business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate accounting records for Ecocoast (GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, accruals, etc.).
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) as required by Management.
- Support monthly close and year end close activities in line with IFRS.

- Monitor receivables & payables, interacting with clients & suppliers to ensure timely collections & payments, building relationships.
- Ensure all company employees adhere to Ecocoast's internal control framework, finance related processes, policies, and deadlines.
- Maintain documentation for guarantees, contracts, and settlements in line with governance standards.
Systems & Processes
- Ensure data integrity in the company's accounting systems, utilizing platforms such as QuickBooks or Reckon.
- Drive consistency in financial processes and reporting across the organization.
- Analyze and scrutinize company expenditure, proposing cost saving measures.
- Advising on areas for improvement to streamline accounting and control processes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
- Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) is a plus but not mandatory.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to multi entity and cross border operations.
