Responsibilities
- Lead the organization's financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Oversee day to day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month end close, and payroll oversight
- Manage funding agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and timely preparation of financial reports for funders
- Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support organizational planning and decision making
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Executive Director, Finance & Audit Committee, Treasurer, and Board of Directors
- Coordinate the annual audit, charitable filings, tax remittances, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, processes, internal controls, and system automation initiatives
- Oversee payroll, employee benefits administration, and related compliance requirements
- Support organizational operations through vendor management, banking, insurance, IT oversight, and contract administration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, donors, auditors, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA designation considered an asset
- 5–7 years of progressive financial management experience, ideally within a not for profit or charitable organization
- Advanced Excel skills with ability to leverage data for reporting and analysis
- Strong proficiency with Sage 50
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce and Powerpay considered an asset

Position Overview

- They are seeking a strategic Senior Finance Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
- As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Senior Finance Manager provides financial leadership and oversight of the organization's financial operations.

Compensation
- CAD 80,000 CAD 95,000 annual salary range.
