Responsibilities
- Lead the design, review, and optimization of pumping stations and related hydraulic infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and project specifications
- Prepare and validate hydraulic calculations
- Guide detailed engineering design and review drawings and technical documentation
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical issues
- Support procurement and construction activities
- Provide expert input during commissioning and testing
- Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of engineering practices and methodologies
Requirements
- Strong expertise in hydraulic engineering, including design and analysis of pumping stations, pipelines, and related water infrastructure
- Experience overseeing engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC) activities for large scale hydraulic or energy projects
- Ability to review and develop technical documentation, such as calculations, specifications, drawings, and test procedures
- Proficiency in project planning, cost estimation, and project control tools; familiarity with Primavera or similar project management software is an advantage
- Solid understanding of relevant international standards, codes, and contract frameworks (e.g., FIDIC) related to hydraulic infrastructure and construction
- Demonstrated capability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders in an on site environment
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills, with attention to safety, quality, and reliability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Significant professional experience in pumping stations and hydraulic infrastructure, preferably in the energy or utilities sector and in international projects

Role Description
- The Senior Expert – Pumping Stations & Hydraulic Infrastructure is a full time, on site role based in Doha, Qatar.
- This role is responsible for leading the design, review, and optimization of pumping stations and related hydraulic infrastructure, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
