Role Overview
Officebase Furniture Trading LLC is seeking an experienced Joinery Estimator for commercial interiors fit-out projects in the UAE.
The role prepares accurate, competitive, and timely estimates for high-end joinery, custom woodwork, and fit-out projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quantity take-offs for bespoke joinery, cabinetry, wall paneling, doors, furniture, and architectural metal or glass integration.
- Prepare BOQs, rate breakdowns, and tender submissions aligned with client requirements and deadlines.
- Calculate raw material, production labor, machining, spraying, and site installation costs.
- Obtain, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify value-engineering alternatives while protecting quality and design intent.
- Review tender conditions, contract clauses, and scope boundaries for financial risks and manage project variations.
- Collaborate with design, production, project management, and procurement teams.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Three to five years of Joinery Estimator experience in the UAE or GCC market is required.
- Experience in custom millwork, high-end interior fit-out, or luxury hospitality or residential projects is required.
- Strong ability to interpret architectural drawings, CAD files, shop drawings, and technical specifications is required.
- Knowledge of joinery construction, wood species, veneers, hardware, and PU, NC, and lacquer finishes is required.
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel formulas, AutoCAD, and estimation software is required.
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is required.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE suppliers, local labor rates, and market pricing is required.
- Excellent English is required; Arabic is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay is up to AED 10,000 per month, based on experience.
