Weatherark is seeking a Senior Estimator for bespoke, architect-led residential construction projects across the Three Counties and the Cotswolds.

The position offers autonomy and direct work with the Managing Director and experienced project team.
Compensation
- Salary is £65,000–£75,000 per year depending on experience, plus a car allowance and performance bonus.
- On-site parking is listed as a benefit.
Core responsibilities
- Price complex and non-standard construction projects using first-principles understanding of labour, materials, methodology, sequencing, and risk.
- Review drawings and technical information, obtain and interrogate subcontractor quotations, and produce tenders with clear assumptions.
- Monitor project cost performance, identify and price variations, and help protect tender assumptions and margin after award.
- Manage commercial discussions with architects, clients, and consultants while maintaining constructive project relationships.
Candidate profile
- Applicants are likely to be experienced Estimators or Senior Estimators from main contractor or specialist construction backgrounds.
- Bespoke residential, heritage, complex refurbishment, or other technically demanding construction experience is particularly relevant.
- Quantity surveying or commercial management backgrounds may be suitable when combined with strong hands-on estimating experience.
- Formal qualifications are welcome, but construction knowledge, estimating judgement, commercial intelligence, and ownership are most important.
