Role Overview
Galaxy Metal Industries is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator for its Metal Division.
The role focuses on estimation for metal fabrication and structural steel projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates and quotations for metal fabrication and structural steel projects.
- Review IFC drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements, and perform quantity take-offs.
- Calculate material, labor, equipment, fabrication, installation, and subcontracting costs.
- Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and project teams on pricing.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Identify project risks, exclusions, and commercial considerations.
- Prepare tender submissions, recommend cost-effective solutions, and maintain estimation records and databases.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree or diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Five to eight years of relevant estimation experience in the UAE.
- Strong experience in structural steel, metal fabrication, and related works.
- Excellent knowledge of drawings, BOQs, specifications, and quantity take-offs.
- Strong understanding of material pricing, fabrication processes, and installation costs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Ability to independently prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- UAE metal fabrication or structural steel company experience is highly preferred.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
Workplace
- The position is based in person at Dubai Industrial City.
