About the role
The company is seeking a Senior MEP Estimation and Design Engineer in Dubai for projects across the UAE market.
The role requires technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and the ability to lead estimation, tendering, and design coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender proposals for MEP packages.
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to develop accurate pricing.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for quotations and technical clarifications.
- Lead design development and value engineering for MEP systems in line with applicable UAE codes and standards.
- Analyze subcontractor and vendor bids.
- Support the tendering process from bid preparation through submission and negotiation.
- Mentor junior estimation and design engineers.
- Coordinate with project management and site teams to align design and execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- At least 8 years of relevant MEP estimation and design experience, including substantial UAE market experience.
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory bodies and approval processes, including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Trakhees, and DDA.
- Proficiency in estimation software and design tools, with examples including AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Excel.
- Understanding of HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and electrical systems design and costing.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- A UAE driving license is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay starts at AED 15,000 per month.
