Senior Enterprise Cloud Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will support and monitor enterprise cloud-hosted systems and applications built using COTS and custom solutions.

You will bridge the gap between development and operations by supporting and enhancing automated, scalable, and resilient systems running on Windows and/or Red Hat Linux Operating Systems.

You will be responsible for the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and the overall health, reliability, and scalability of the platforms.

You will provide support for system hardening to DOD security standards to ensure all production environments are highly secure and available.

• 10+ years of systems engineering experience working in a Linux or Windows enterprise environment (DOD environment highly preferred).
• Extensive experience with cloud deployments and the ability to troubleshoot .NET, Java, and JavaScript applications.
• Proficiency in configuring automated alerting workflows via ServiceNow or similar tools.
• Proficiency in AppDynamics (APM/EUM), Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch for deploying agents, tracking logs.
• Hands-on experience with system hardening and implementation of DISA STIGs.
• Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of interpreting vulnerability reports and defining executable actions to reduce risks and address patch requirements.

• Monitor system performance and capacity using enterprise tools; Splunk experience is preferred for proactive issue resolution and logging.
• Design and manage automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure to support rapid, reliable software releases.
• Maintain system documentation and develop new documentation for automation workflows, recovery procedures, and operational best practices.
