Role Overview
Own Jira administration and strategy for Okta Research & Design within the Technical Program Management organization.
Manage the Atlassian toolchain supporting planning, tracking, reporting, and delivery across a 1,000-plus person engineering, product, and design organization.
Translate methodology and process frameworks into workflow improvements that accelerate delivery and reduce manual overhead.
Platform Ownership and Tooling
- Define an AI-led strategy for Jira-based product planning, tracking, and reporting from corporate objectives through sprint-level stories.
- Own Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Confluence, and AI integrations, including architecture, workflows, schemas, permissions, and custom fields.
- Build a scalable self-service administration model and evaluate AI tools for ticket triage, sprint planning, and status summaries.
Process, Governance, and Analytics
- Align Jira processes with product development, secure software development, release management, and change control practices.
- Standardize engineering workflows and migrate fragmented tracking tools into Jira as a shared source of truth.
