Role overview
Lead data engineering capability for a critical data platforms crew within Economic Crime.
The role is a Senior Engineering Manager leading a specialist data engineering chapter supporting Economic Crime products and services.
The role is split approximately 50% hands-on engineering and 50% people and capability leadership.
Business context
Financial Crime Compliance manages the Group’s financial crime compliance program, including anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption, and anti-tax evasion obligations.
The Data Platforms Crew delivers trusted data, reporting, analytics and insights for risk governance, regulatory obligations, operational effectiveness and executive decision-making.
Engineering leadership
- Contribute to solution design, architecture, coding, technical reviews, platform uplift, troubleshooting and trusted data product delivery.
- Lead, coach and develop data engineers across multiple data squads while setting standards and managing performance.
- Guide the design, delivery, testing and maintenance of data products, pipelines, reporting solutions, dashboards and analytical datasets.
- Drive full-stack data engineering across requirements, build, testing, controls and operations.
