Sparkfund is the utility services company unlocking capacity on the grid.
Through its Distributed Capacity Procurement (DCP) model, Sparkfund enables utilities, energy majors, and large-load customers to deploy front-of-the-meter batteries and gensets as distribution infrastructure.
By adding targeted capacity exactly where and when the grid needs it most, DCP helps meet demand, support reliability, and put downward pressure on rates.
Sparkfund supports program design, grid value assessment, asset host engagement, and value chain management to ensure on-time, on-budget deployment with maximum system value and lowest cost.
With more than 3,200 projects deployed across 43 states and more than 300MW of energized assets constructed, Sparkfund is transforming customer-sited assets into a valuable portfolio resource for the benefit of our society.

Help Build the Future of the Electric Grid
The electric grid is changing faster than it has in decades.
Utilities are facing increasing demand from electrification, data centers, and economic growth while also integrating new technologies such as battery storage, electric vehicles, and distributed energy resources.
At Sparkfund, we're helping utilities solve these challenges through innovative programs that unlock flexible energy capacity and modernize how the grid is planned, operated, and optimized.
We're looking for a Senior Engineer, Systems Engineering to help shape the technical foundation of this transformation.
This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of utility operations, distributed energy resources, grid modernization, and emerging energy markets.
You'll partner directly with utility engineering, planning, operations, and regulatory teams to evaluate opportunities, design integration strategies, and support the deployment of distributed energy solutions at scale.
If you're excited about solving complex technical problems, influencing the future of utility infrastructure, and working on projects that have real-world impact, we'd love to talk.
