Role overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer - Structural Site Supervision in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The role oversees structural engineering activities on-site, supports technical decisions, and maintains quality and safety during project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise structural construction activities against approved designs and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control checks for structural integrity and compliance.
  • Provide technical solutions to structural construction challenges.
  • Maintain technical documentation, inspection reports, and progress records.
  • Lead and mentor site engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor material quality and testing procedures.
  • Conduct safety audits and implement corrective measures.
  • Review and approve structural drawings, shop drawings, and construction sequences.
  • Report project status, risks, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of structural engineering and site supervision experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Expertise in structural analysis, design principles, construction methodologies, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Experience managing large-scale structural construction projects.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis software and project management tools.
  • Ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams and interpret structural drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Middle East or UAE construction experience is preferred.
