Role overview
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Engineer in Structural Engineering for the Engineering Support to Operations Structures team in Bengaluru.
The team provides production and field support for operational commercial engine components.
Work arrangement
- The position role type is hybrid.
Key responsibilities
- Perform ANSYS finite element analysis for stress, vibration, low-cycle fatigue life, and residual-life prediction.
- Analyze stress and life changes after repairs and in-service field investigations.
- Provide analytical aftermarket support to maintenance, repair, and overhaul services.
- Participate in integrated product teams to develop design solutions balancing performance, cost, schedule, and quality.
- Write substantiation documentation and deliver persuasive technical presentations.
- Develop technology and process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with peer technical development, structures community initiatives, and other duties as needed.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
