Role Overview
Join WSP's Façade Engineering Team in India to support the UK team on façade and building envelope projects.
The role involves technical design, reporting, multidisciplinary collaboration, and project delivery support.
Responsibilities
- Research potential cladding materials and prepare design reports for concept, scheme, and detail stages.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, acousticians, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings, communicate project progress, and disseminate information across teams.
- Manage delegated tasks, deadlines, risks, resourcing concerns, and additional fee notifications.
- Complete timesheets and provide feedback on processes for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven façade design or engineering experience, or relevant building physics and sustainability design experience.
- Willingness to progress toward Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer status.
- Strong building envelope design, detailing, construction, procurement, and risk assessment capability.
- Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software such as Revit, Rhino, or Grasshopper.
- Interest in façade systems, cladding, thermal performance, daylight, and solar control.
Preferred Skills
- Façade embodied carbon assessment experience is advantageous.
- Experience with structural or thermal analysis tools is advantageous.
- Familiarity with international codes, including European standards, is a plus.
- Communication, organization, project management, people leadership, and client relationship skills are valued.
