Role overview
Senior Software Engineer role responsible for high-quality software development, innovation, and technical direction.
The role focuses on scalable, highly performant web applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
What you will do
- Build scalable and reliable solutions using modern engineering practices.
- Architect software systems, write and review code, and deliver complex web application features.
- Optimise Core Web Vitals and improve platform health, stability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and technical communities.
- Participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and drive operational excellence.
Ideal qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong expertise in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Experience with scalable high-traffic web applications and architectural patterns such as Micro Frontends, SPA, or SSR.
- Experience with GraphQL, AWS, Docker, and CI/CD practices.
- Proficiency delivering software in Agile environments and collaborating across functions.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering best practices.
- OWASP and modern application security familiarity is preferred.
