Senior Engineer - Civils

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from Bengaluru.
• Liaise with UK project managers and engineers to meet scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Drive innovation and digital delivery across the team.
• Support resource and management duties for the Team Leader.
• Develop engineers, technicians, and graduates technically.
• Perform project checks and reviews to assure quality delivery.
• Manage several projects and contribute to design from an early stage.
• Plan and design deliverables against UK engineering standards.

Qualifications and experience

• A relevant bachelor’s, M.Tech, or Master of Science degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering is required.
• A master’s degree is preferred.
• The role requires 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably on UK Water Industry projects.
• Professional accreditation from ICE or CIWEM is required.
• Experience with water and wastewater treatment plant planning and design is advantageous.

Technical skills

• Understand water and wastewater infrastructure design concepts, treatment processes, and related hydraulics.
• Understand standards and norms specific to the UK Water Industry.
• Review CAD and BIM design drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Plant 3D.
• Use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook effectively.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, originality, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
• Communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
