Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Propulsion Systems

We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of base software for advanced propulsion control modules.

In this role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and validation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality embedded software solutions supporting internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicle systems.

• Develop andmaintainembedded base software components for propulsion control systems
• Perform software requirements analysis, architecture design, and detailed design activities
• Write and optimize embedded C/C++ and low-level software code in real-time operating system environments
• Create and execute software test plans including unit, integration, and system-level testing
• Conduct design and code reviews including requirements, architecture, and test documentation
• Apply software verification and validation methods including white box, black box, and gray box testing
• Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to define and refine software requirements
• Support virtualization strategies and tools throughout the software development lifecycle
• Utilize diagnostic tools and data acquisition systems to support debugging and validation efforts

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years total experience with embedded C/C++ software (hand-coding) in a Real Time Operating System environment.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Vector/ETAS/AUTOSAR Basic Software configuration of modules like OS, MCAL, IOHWAB, FEE, WDG, DEM, DCM, CAN, LIN, XCP.
• Experience with multicore microprocessors, ability to interpret hardware schematics, and Functional Safety concepts (ISO 26262).
