Senior ELV/ICT Engineer role within a Building Services team.
The role focuses on ICT, ELV, and security solutions across building projects.
Work spans concept development, detailed design, tender documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, and project delivery support.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out conceptual studies for ICT, ELV, and security systems, including space and infrastructure requirements.
- Develop system designs from concept through detailed design and tender documentation.
- Prepare technical reports, design specifications, calculations, drawings, estimates, tender documents, and acceptance records.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable local and international codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with architecture, MEP, structural, utilities, and specialist teams.
- Participate in client and site meetings and resolve design and coordination issues.
- Identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining performance, quality, and compliance.
- Use BIM and digital engineering tools to support delivery and coordination.
- Support continuous improvement and share knowledge and lessons learned.
Candidate Specification
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Experience in the design and delivery of ICT, ELV, and security systems within building projects.
- Knowledge of structured cabling, active networks, IPTV, IP telephony, wireless access points, Building Management Systems, PAVA, audio-visual, and smart building technologies.
- Experience with video surveillance, access control, intercom, and two-way radio or TETRA systems.
- Familiarity with relevant local and international design standards and codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary and culturally diverse teams.
Desirable Experience
- Membership of or progress toward membership of a recognised professional institution.
- Experience using Autodesk Revit and BIM workflows.
- Experience using Ekahau, EASE, or JVSG simulation tools.
- Experience delivering complex building projects in the Middle East region.
- Exposure to digital engineering platforms and collaborative design environments.
