Are you ready to join our Instrumentation and Controls team?

A successful applicant will work with a multidisciplinary group of engineers and designers providing technical services to public and private-sector clients.

Primary duties will include control systems engineering, process control strategy planning, automation designs, construction support services, and planning studies with detailed analyses.

These designs will be related to water and wastewater treatment plants and related facilities.

with equipment selections, equipment and communication network layouts, and process control design coordination with other engineering disciplines is required.

Candidates should be at ease with core aspects of PLC, HMI and SCADA system planning, design, programming, and upgrades.

The successful applicant is expected to be proficient in the following areas.

Design Activities, including:

• Developing preliminary scope definitions, budgets, and staffing plans,
• Field review and evaluation of existing equipment, control systems (hardware and software) and control panels,
• Preparing studies, conceptual reports, and technical memorandums,
• Conducting I&C engineering and analyses related to various water, wastewater, and industrial waste treatment facilities,
• Supporting multi-disciplinary teams with engineering design projects and studies,
• Developing construction documents (drawings, specifications, and schedules). Drawings for construction include: - Database driven Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's),
• Detailed network communication architecture diagrams,
• Control panel details,
• CCTV and Access Control System drawings, Point-to-Point Wiring Diagrams, and
• Instrument installation details.
• Development of technical specifications, instrument datasheets, and detailed control strategies / narratives, and
• Senior review and evaluation of - Electrical schematic diagrams and plans.
• Review and evaluation of mechanical specifications with controls content.
• Review and evaluation of process flow diagrams and design criteria; and
• Coordination of I&C deliverables with the process, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.

Construction support activities:

• Review of Contractor and Supplier submittals, and
• Participate in construction site inspections,
• Support of equipment and control system commissioning, start-up, and performance testing, and
• Assist with system troubleshooting.

Marketing Support Activities would be considered an asset, including:

• Assisting marketing team with project pursuit strategies,
• Presentation material development,
• Presentation participation, and
• Serving as I&C discipline subject matter expert.
