GMCO electromechanical works is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10 or more years of hands-on UAE MEP contracting experience.
The role covers electrical design review, site execution, authority coordination, compliance management, and project delivery.
Requirements
- Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer in construction.
- Candidates must have MEP contracting experience in the UAE and must be DM and DEWA certified.
- The role requires extensive knowledge of DEWA regulations, standards, and approval procedures.
- Experience is required across commercial, residential, high-rise, hospitality, and industrial developments.
Technical skills
- LV and HV power distribution system design and execution.
- Load calculation, demand assessment, cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, and routing.
- MDB, SMDB, and DB design and installation.
- Earthing, lightning protection, lighting design, and lux-level calculations.
- Generator and UPS integration, protection and coordination studies, and fault-level analysis.
- Substation coordination, energization procedures, and electrical testing and commissioning.
Work location
- Work location is in person in Dubai.

Responsibilities
- Lead electrical design review and coordinate electrical project execution.
- Supervise site execution and support delivery within approved budget and schedule.
- Coordinate with authorities and manage DEWA approval requirements.
- Manage electrical compliance throughout project delivery.
- Execute and coordinate LV and HV power distribution systems.
- Perform load calculations, demand assessments, cable sizing, voltage-drop calculations, and fault-level analysis.
- Design and install MDB, SMDB, and DB systems, including earthing, lighting, and lightning protection systems.
- Integrate generators and UPS systems and coordinate substations and energization procedures.
- Perform testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
