The Space Systems division develops spacecraft and subsystems including solar panels, flight software, star trackers, optical systems, separation systems, and radios.
Role Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer II will support development and testing of avionics hardware for electro-optical systems in Tucson, Arizona.
The role covers electrical hardware development from requirements definition through design, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and production.
The position supports space, terrestrial, and airborne optical systems for Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers.
Hardware Design and Architecture
- Own the complete lifecycle of avionics hardware for command and control of electro-optical systems.
- Lead architecture decisions for EO sensor capabilities across LEO, GEO, and cis-lunar missions.
- Design and integrate FPGA, microcontroller, low-noise ADC/DAC, and VPX electronics at the CCA or module level.
