Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Electrical Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
The role leads electrical design for buildings, warehouses, villas, showrooms, and fit-out projects.
The position supports projects through design stages, client coordination, design reviews, value engineering, and construction-related technical support.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
- The role requires at least 10 years in engineering consultancy, 12 years overall experience, and 8 years in Abu Dhabi.
- Direct ADDC/TAQA and Civil Defence approval experience is required.
- Experience is required in electrical design, power systems analysis, power distribution, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools is required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, report-writing, communication, and multidisciplinary coordination skills are required.
- Professional registration or certification is advantageous.
What You’ll Do
- Lead electrical design and site supervision for villas, commercial and residential buildings, warehouses, showrooms, and fit-out projects.
- Design and supervise LV rooms, MV/HV substations, generator rooms, ATS, and synchronization systems.
- Design and oversee CCTV, access control, fire alarm, structured cabling, PA, and BMS systems.
- Prepare load calculations, single-line diagrams, lighting designs, and power distribution designs.
- Ensure compliance with ADDC/TAQA, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, and Estidama requirements.
- Coordinate integrated designs with architectural and MEP teams.
- Review shop drawings and submittals, conduct site inspections, and provide construction supervision.
- Mentor junior engineers and support technical proposals.
