Senior Electrical Engineer | Cincinnati, OH

Coordinate, oversee and manage projects ranging in size and complexity.

Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviews.

Create project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlines.

Serve as the point of contact for teams and clients.

Create monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting in a timely manner; Update billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projects monthly.

Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards and code requirements; Ensure design milestone deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs in a timely manner.

Collaborate with design staff and coordinate scheduling of projects during all phases of design and construction; Schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation.

Conduct construction site visits and provide documentation as needed or requested.

Respond to and resolve client / construction concerns; Manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvals.

Build, maintain, and develop client relationships.

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required

Professional Engineer (PE) License required

7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry

Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards and reference material resources such as NFPA Link, TechStreet, MadCAD, and Facility Guideline Institution (FGI)

Advanced proficiency of Master Specification editing and software such as eSPECS; Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu

Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others

Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise

Ability to sell work and develop client relationships

Strong training and mentoring skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays

Adept in the technical aspects of one’s discipline; advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems

Demonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career path

State of Ohio Salary Range: $119,000 - $178,000 per year

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.

Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.
