Job Description
Buildex General Maintenance LLC is seeking a highly experienced MEP Draftsman for construction projects.
The role focuses on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drafting for high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate MEP shop drawings and coordination drawings based on project specifications and design drawings.
- Ensure drawings comply with local authority regulations and international standards.
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, consultants, architects, and site teams to resolve design conflicts.
- Update drawings for design revisions, site instructions, and as-built requirements.
- Prepare builders’ work, sleeve, and penetration drawings.
- Maintain drawing logs, records, and revision histories.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Drafting.
- Minimum 10 years of MEP drafting experience, including at least 8 years in the Gulf region on major construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Revit MEP and other BIM tools is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Gulf standards and authority regulations such as DEWA, ADDC, and DM.
