Role Overview
Parsons are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior D ocument Controller to oversee all document management and control activities for a large-scale airport development program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project documentation systems, ensuring compliance with document control procedures, maintaining accurate records, and supporting efficient information flow across multidisciplinary teams.
The role requires strong organizational skills, leadership capability, and experience working on complex infrastructure or aviation projects.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in document control, including experience leading document control teams on large construction, infrastructure, or airport projects.
What You'll Be Doing; Establish and maintain project document control systems, processes, and procedures in accordance with project and client requirements.
Manage the receipt, registration, distribution, tracking, filing, and archiving of all project documentation.
Ensure all incoming and outgoing documents are properly controlled, logged, and transmitted in a timely manner.
Maintain document numbering systems, revision controls, and document workflows.
Administer and maintain electronic document management systems (EDMS) and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Ensure compliance with company standards, project procedures, and quality management requirements.
Monitor document control activities to ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory obligations.
Support audits and ensure all records are maintained in an audit-ready condition.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, commercial, and client teams regarding document submissions and approvals.
Serve as the focal point for document control matters between contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
Track document review cycles and follow up on overdue submissions and approvals.
Facilitate efficient communication and information flow across project teams.
Prepare regular reports on document status, submission logs, outstanding actions, and workflow performance.
Monitor KPIs related to document turnaround times and compliance metrics.
Provide accurate reporting to project management and stakeholders.
Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
Lead and supervise document controllers and administrative support staff.
Provide training and guidance on document control procedures and systems.
Allocate workload effectively and ensure team productivity and quality standards are maintained.
Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Ensure proper maintenance and archiving of all project records throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage final handover documentation, as-built records, and closeout documentation.
Ensure secure storage and retrieval of confidential and sensitive documents.
Support project closeout activities and long-term records retention requirements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring; Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong knowledge of document control standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
