Who We Are
Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to support continuous, human healthcare.
The company brings together doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives to build tools for clinicians and patients.
Heidi operates globally and partners with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
Platform engineering
- Build and improve compute platforms using Compute Engine, managed instance groups, GKE, and container runtimes.
- Implement and enhance GCP networking components including VPCs, peering, Private Service Connect, Cloud DNS, and load balancing.
- Contribute to secure and scalable network topologies and implement agreed platform standards.
Delivery and operations
- Deliver platform infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform preferred.
- Improve automation and CI/CD pipelines for platform changes.
- Work with senior engineers to improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Participate in incident response and post-incident improvements.
Collaboration and enablement
- Work with senior platform engineers and architects on design and rollout.
- Support application teams consuming compute and networking capabilities.
- Contribute documentation, examples, and runbooks.
- Provide feedback to evolve platform standards, including incident response and SLO ownership.
What we're looking for
- 3–7+ years of experience in cloud or platform engineering.
- Hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of cloud compute and networking fundamentals.
- Experience working with Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform preferred.
- Familiarity with GCP networking primitives including VPCs, firewall rules, and private connectivity.
- Comfort operating Linux-based workloads.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS or Azure.
- Exposure to GKE or Kubernetes in production.
- Familiarity with multi-project or landing-zone-style setups.
- Experience in high-availability or security-conscious environments.
