Developer Relations Engineers collaborate with developer communities at conferences and online while advocating for developers internally at Google.
The role combines community management, developer advocacy, hands-on technical content, troubleshooting, and product feedback.
The team drives awareness and adoption of Google's Cloud data and analytics platform and supports implementation in user infrastructure and applications.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a technical role or equivalent technical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with software and data engineering concepts and frameworks.
- At least 1 year of experience with current AI and agentic frameworks, such as MCP.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with on-premises or cloud data technologies.
- Experience working directly with customers, partners, or third-party developers.
- Experience advocating for or mentoring new and existing technologies and programming languages.
