About this Position

In coordination with the Design Project Lead and in collaboration with the Engineer of Record, the Senior Designer develops "Best for Project" designs for permanent mine facility infrastructure and temporary sinking systems. This role involves conceptualizing, creating, revising, and finalizing drawings and 3D models that are safe, constructible, compliant with standards, and aligned with client operability requirements.

Health and Safety

Work in full compliance with all Cementation Health and Safety rules and regulations.

Identify health and safety hazards, unsafe conditions or infractions and report them to the Health and Safety Department.

Ensure all applicable safety codes and regulations are incorporated into design through appropriate design and use of technology.

Act as a safety champion by promoting safe behaviours and integrating safety into all designs produced by the group.

Key Responsibilities

Perform design and drafting for both permanent and temporary works related to underground mine shafts, facilities, infrastructure, and associated equipment.

Develop preliminary layouts, sketches, and conceptual designs through to finished drawings.

Produce accurate, clear, and compliant 2D drawings and 3D models in accordance with Cementation Engineering Standards and project specifications.
