Role overview

Lead multidisciplinary design projects and programmes within WSP’s Property & Buildings sector.

The portfolio spans commercial, mixed-use, and high-performance environments.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of multiple multidisciplinary projects while ensuring technical excellence, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership and governance to Design Managers and project teams across delivery, quality, risk management, and resource utilisation.
  • Drive BIM, Common Data Environments, Digital Twin technologies, and data-led design approaches.
  • Lead project reviews, design assurance, and technical governance across the project portfolio.
  • Manage forecasting, utilisation, profitability, change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Mentor Design Managers, Project Managers, and technical leaders.

Growth and stakeholder leadership

  • Build senior client relationships, identify repeat-business opportunities, and support account growth.
  • Support strategic pursuits, major bids, client presentations, business planning, and market development.
  • Represent WSP in industry forums and professional organisations.
  • Collaborate on workforce planning, capability development, succession planning, and team growth.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of Property & Buildings experience with leadership responsibility for multidisciplinary design and project delivery teams.
  • Experience delivering large-scale, complex building projects and programmes across multiple sectors.
  • Experience managing senior and executive-level client relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen and knowledge of regional authority requirements and international design standards.
  • Experience leading architecture, structures, MEP, ICT, and fire and life safety disciplines.
  • Advanced understanding of BIM, Digital Delivery, Information Management, and emerging design technologies.
  • Proven contribution to business development, strategic pursuits, and successful major bids.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer, Registered Architect, PMP, or equivalent professional accreditation is advantageous.
  • Previous experience with a leading international engineering consultancy is highly desirable.
