Al Ghandi Electrical & Automation LLC is seeking a Senior Design Engineer specializing in Low Voltage Switchgear and Industrial Automation. The role involves designing LV switchgear systems and automation control panels for Oil & Gas, Water, and Wastewater projects.

Responsibilities
- Design Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Power Control Centers (PCC), Distribution Boards (MDB/SMDB/FDB), PLC Control Panels, VFD Panels, and Automation Systems for Oil & Gas, Water, and Wastewater projects.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, termination drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Develop electrical and automation designs in compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and international standards (IEC 61439, IEC 60947, IEC 60204, and relevant ADNOC standards).
- Design control and automation systems for pumps, blowers, dosing systems, filtration units, RO plants, lift stations, and process equipment used in STP, WTP, and WWTP facilities.
- Select suitable electrical components, protection devices, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, relays, and communication equipment based on project requirements.
- Coordinate with process, instrumentation, mechanical, civil, procurement, and project teams to ensure integrated and efficient system design.
- Review client specifications, technical datasheets, and vendor documents, ensuring full compliance with project requirements.
- Perform busbar sizing, cable sizing, protection coordination, voltage drop calculations, and panel thermal calculations.
- Prepare technical submittals, material approvals, and engineering documentation for client review.
- Provide engineering support during manufacturing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and project handover.
- Resolve technical issues during panel fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Ensure all designs comply with ADNOC engineering standards, HSE requirements, and applicable local authority regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (implied by role)
- Extensive experience in designing LV Switchgear, MCC, PCC, Distribution Boards, PLC Control Panels, VFD Panels, and Automation Systems
- Proficiency in preparing Single Line Diagrams, GA drawings, control schematics, wiring diagrams, termination drawings, and BOMs
- Knowledge of international standards (IEC 61439, IEC 60947, IEC 60204) and ADNOC standards
- Experience with Oil & Gas, Water, and Wastewater projects
- Ability to perform busbar sizing, cable sizing, protection coordination, voltage drop calculations, and panel thermal calculations
- Experience in preparing technical submittals and material approvals
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Experience with ADNOC Onshore and Offshore Facilities preferred
