About the Role
Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks a Senior Defence Psychologist to lead psychological care services for MINDEF/SAF servicemen. Requires postgraduate degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology and at least 6 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and conduct periodic interviews, including basic counselling and management plans, to support servicemen requiring professional mental health assistance
- Advise and train commanders and supervisors on managing psychological health challenges in the workplace
- Influence policy decisions related to psychological health at the unit level
- Provide one to one mental health support and intervention for personnel experiencing mental health difficulties
- Supervise and professionally develop junior psychologists under your charge
Requirements
- Education in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, preferably a Postgraduate Degree
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in clinical or counselling psychology practice
- Knowledge of national level psychological and social services policies and resources is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Independent and innovative thinking capabilities
- Passion for growing the practice of psychology within MINDEF/SAF

What The Role Is
- Lead psychological care services and develop programmes to maintain and enhance psychological well being of MINDEF/SAF servicemen
- Ensure optimal deployment and psychological readiness of personnel
What You Will Be Working On
