UST is seeking a Senior Database Operations Engineer to lead database operations, automation, reliability, and operational support across cloud and hybrid environments.
The role supports mission-critical production systems and requires end-to-end ownership, strong troubleshooting, and an automation-first mindset.

Key responsibilities
- Own database reliability, availability, performance, scalability, and resilience across production, UAT, QA, and development environments.
- Lead operations across SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, and other Azure or cloud database services.
- Manage backup, restore, recovery, RPO/RTO alignment, maintenance, patching, upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning.
- Monitor and troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, replication latency, long-running queries, performance bottlenecks, and database health.
- Design and manage HA/DR solutions including Always On Availability Groups, replication, and failover mechanisms.
- Automate operational tasks with PowerShell, Python, Azure Automation Runbooks, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, database deployments, release automation, incident management, RCA, and post-incident reviews.
