Princess Cruises seeks a Senior Data Scientist to support and improve their advanced revenue management system (YODA). The role involves developing ML/AI improvements, troubleshooting anomalies, and collaborating with global data science teams.

Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and support to colleagues on revenue management system (RMS) issues
- Utilize scientific and technical knowledge of YODA to provide escalated support for users
- Acquire deep understanding of business to compromise between science recommendations and business constraints
- Undertake difficult troubleshooting of science elements of YODA to determine cause of anomalous results
- Develop and prototype improvements to ML/AI elements of the RMS
- Create innovative solutions for business problems within the RMS using state of the art data science methods
- Present developed prototype modules and models to the wider data science community
- Collaborate with key senior staff across brands on topics of interest to stakeholders
- Stay up to date with latest technologies and tools within data science, revenue management and AI
Requirements
- Masters or other advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, science, engineering, computer science, etc.)
- 5 7 years of experience working as a data scientist
- Proven record of working in teams to identify and solve problems and influence decision making
- Ability to apply background in statistics, statistical modelling, and/or machine learning to real world problems
- Experience working with large pieces of software which include AI systems or ML, or on large similar projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to non experts
- Extensive experience with databases (e.g. SQL) and/or visualization/statistical software such as Power BI
- Extensive experience creating and tuning ML models from EDA to production level deployment using Python (or similar language)
