Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned to mission and business requirements
  • Collaborate with IT teams, data architects, and stakeholders to define and refine data requirements
  • Translate business needs into scalable and efficient data architectures
  • Review data processing and data management methods to ensure efficiency, integrity, and performance
  • Establish and maintain official data definitions, standards, and data lineage documentation
  • Support database design, implementation, and optimization efforts
  • Assist in developing strategies for data acquisition, storage, archival, and recovery
  • Ensure data sets and applications function reliably and meet operational needs
  • Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior developers and data staff
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide system support as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in data modeling, data architecture, or related disciplines
  • Strong experience developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Experience working with enterprise data environments and large-scale data systems
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical data solutions
  • Experience with data governance, data standards, and metadata management
  • Strong understanding of database design, implementation, and performance optimization
  • Experience supporting data lifecycle processes including ingestion, storage, archival, and recovery
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non-technical teams
  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance
