Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects from inception to completion as a senior point of contact.
• Advise cross-functional teams and stakeholders on best practices and innovative solutions.
• Develop quality-checking routines for policy compliance and owned control testing.
• Review significant operational events, identify control gaps, and support remediation.
• Improve the accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and quality of control testing.
• Research industry trends and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and drive accountability for control-testing success.
• Mentor team members and support departmental and organizational initiatives.

Analytical skills

• Analyze large datasets and formulate analytical methodologies.
• Identify data inconsistencies, anomalies, and patterns.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis and generate business insights.
• Work with confidential information using strong problem-solving and integrity.

Tools and platforms

• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, SAS, and relational database concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Bitbucket is nice to have.

Domain and functional qualifications

• Good understanding of banking products including wealth, cards, deposits, loans, and insurance.
• Understanding of business risk, controls, compliance, and data management.
• Risk and controls experience, controls expertise, finance regulations, audit processes, and automation skills are nice to have.

Basic qualifications

• Relevant qualifications include a master’s degree or BTech, B.E., or MCA in information technology, information systems, computer applications, or engineering.
• 8–12 years of hands-on coding experience in SAS, SQL, and Python environments.
• Strong relationship management, collaboration, independent thinking, and credible-challenge skills.
