The company uses in-house technology, full-stack analytics, and a compliance-first approach to support measurable growth.

The Role

Quantum is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design and build a robust, scalable, high-performance real-time data backbone.

The role focuses on scalable data pipelines, real-time processing and analytics, and modern data ingestion, storage, and analysis technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for real-time analytics and reporting.
  • Own the Cube.js semantic layer for reliable, self-service analytics across the organisation.
  • Integrate Salesforce, CDP, and SCV data sources into clean, consistent data flows.
  • Lead dbt transformation workflows with testing, documentation, and data quality controls.
  • Architect and manage Apache Airflow orchestration with reliability and observability.
  • Monitor and optimise pipelines for low-latency and high-throughput use cases.
  • Collaborate with data, marketing, and business stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help raise team standards.

About You

  • Significant hands-on data engineering experience and a record of leading complex data initiatives end to end.
  • Experience with Cube.js semantic layers, pre-aggregations, caching strategies, and multi-tenancy.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CDP, and SCV data at scale.
  • Expert-level SQL and experience building robust dbt transformation pipelines.
  • Production experience with Apache Airflow workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure for data ingestion, storage, and processing.
  • Proficiency in Python or a similar language for pipeline development and automation.
  • Strong data modelling instincts and excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Benefits

  • Private healthcare through Bupa, travel insurance, and a company bonus scheme.
  • Hybrid working with three days in the office.
  • Paid AI subscription, training programme, recognition and reward scheme, and annual company conference.
  • Regular team events, happy hours, lunches, free coffee, drinks, and snacks.
