The Role
Quantum is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to design and build a robust, scalable, high-performance real-time data backbone.
The role focuses on scalable data pipelines, real-time processing and analytics, and modern data ingestion, storage, and analysis technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for real-time analytics and reporting.
- Own the Cube.js semantic layer for reliable, self-service analytics across the organisation.
- Integrate Salesforce, CDP, and SCV data sources into clean, consistent data flows.
- Lead dbt transformation workflows with testing, documentation, and data quality controls.
- Architect and manage Apache Airflow orchestration with reliability and observability.
- Monitor and optimise pipelines for low-latency and high-throughput use cases.
- Collaborate with data, marketing, and business stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and help raise team standards.
About You
- Significant hands-on data engineering experience and a record of leading complex data initiatives end to end.
- Experience with Cube.js semantic layers, pre-aggregations, caching strategies, and multi-tenancy.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CDP, and SCV data at scale.
- Expert-level SQL and experience building robust dbt transformation pipelines.
- Production experience with Apache Airflow workflow orchestration.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure for data ingestion, storage, and processing.
- Proficiency in Python or a similar language for pipeline development and automation.
- Strong data modelling instincts and excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
