The Role
The Senior Data Engineer joins the Growth Alliance and Customer Value Optimization Tribe in Toronto.
The team works on pricing, personalized benefits, customer lifetime value forecasting, incentives, retention, and revenue growth.
Data Engineers own development and operational responsibility for the HelloFresh Platform serving global customers and internal users.
What You’ll Do
- Own the end-to-end architecture, design, development, deployment, and operations of data pipelines.
- Apply DevOps practices, pair programming, and modern engineering methodologies.
- Collaborate with autonomous, cross-functional agile teams across data, machine learning, product, engineering, and business intelligence.
- Support and mentor colleagues as an ambassador for software and data solutions.
- Use AWS, Kafka, PySpark, Kubernetes, Airflow, Prefect, Tecton, Databricks, and in-house data-pipeline tools.
- Leverage Claude Code and other AI tools to improve productivity.
What You’ll Bring
- Solid data engineering experience delivering maintainable, high-quality Python and SQL code.
- Hands-on experience with cloud computing and data processing technologies including PySpark, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
