- Lead client engagements across data center strategy, feasibility studies, and business case development
- Manage project workstreams, timelines, and deliverables to ensure high quality execution
- Advise clients on data center strategy, rationalization, and expansion
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligned with business growth, demand forecasts, and technology trends

Role Summary
- At Uptime Institute the Senior Data Center Consultant will lead and deliver complex Data Center Advisory engagements, providing strategic, technical, and commercial guidance to clients on data center investments, expansion, and optimization.
- The role combines advisory leadership with hands on delivery across strategy, market analysis, infrastructure planning, and financial feasibility to support end to end investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client engagements across data center strategy, feasibility studies, and business case development on behalf of Uptime Institute.
- Manage project workstreams, timelines, and deliverables to ensure high quality execution.
- Serve as the primary client interface and ensure alignment with client objectives.
- Advise clients on data center strategy, rationalization, and expansion.
- Develop strategic roadmaps aligned with business growth, demand forecasts, and technology trends.
- Support hosting strategy decisions across cloud, colocation, hybrid, and edge environments.
- Translate workload and business requirements into capacity and infrastructure models.
- Collaborate with Uptime engineers to develop guidance on power, cooling, density, and resilience design considerations.
- Lead market assessments including demand forecasting and pricing analysis.
- Develop go to market and commercialization strategies.
- Evaluate business models including owner operator, colocation, and partnerships.
- Support Uptime’s proposal development and client presentations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field (required).
- MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and digital ecosystems.
- Ability to integrate technical, market, and financial considerations.
- Strong problem solving and structured thinking skills.
- Experience leading engagements and working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.
- 8–15+ years of experience in data center, telecom, cloud, or digital infrastructure.
- Experience delivering data center strategy, feasibility, or advisory engagements.
- Experience working with hyperscalers, telecoms, colocation providers, or enterprises preferred.
