About the Role
The Senior Data Analyst leads the company's reporting and analytics function as the sole Data Analyst and an internal analytics consultant.
The role turns business, product, and security data into actionable insights and contributes to financial reporting, quarter-end close, invoicing, and reconciliation.
Business, Product, and Security Analytics
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards and operational reports using Tableau.
- Analyze business metrics such as revenue, customer growth, subscriptions, retention, product adoption, and operational performance.
- Analyze mobile telemetry, customer behavior, product usage, feature adoption, and security event data.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Engineering, and Security Intelligence.
- Define and monitor KPIs, identify trends, and translate findings into clear recommendations.
Data and Reporting
- Write SQL queries in AWS Athena to analyze large datasets stored in Amazon S3.
- Integrate data from multiple internal systems for reporting and analysis.
- Design, develop, publish, and maintain Tableau dashboards.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Document data sources, business rules, report definitions, and analytical methodologies.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years delivering analytics or business intelligence solutions in technology, mobile applications, cybersecurity, or a related environment.
- Expert-level SQL proficiency and experience with complex relational datasets.
- Experience with AWS Athena or a similar cloud-based analytical query engine.
- Advanced Tableau or equivalent BI platform experience.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling.
- Experience analyzing product telemetry, application usage, or operational event data.
- Experience with large-scale datasets in cloud environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis, data exploration, and automation.
- Experience in cybersecurity, mobile applications, and/or SaaS.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and workflows for reporting and analysis.
