Role Overview
The Senior Data Analyst will join the GWAM Data Engineering team within Global Wealth and Asset Management.
The role designs and delivers scalable, high-quality data solutions aligned with Information Management standards.
The position requires deep capital markets experience and understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and enterprise data management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver reusable core data repositories and use accelerated delivery methods to provide timely business value.
- Maintain investment-domain expertise and query, test, and validate data to drive quality and consistency.
- Partner with Data Governance on standards, methodologies, templates, and tools for data documentation, analysis, and testing.
- Capture and communicate complete data requirements to business, architecture, development, quality, governance, and management stakeholders.
- Ensure technical solutions meet business needs and conduct data profiling to recommend cleansing rules.
- Assist with business glossaries and data dictionaries and collaborate with QA on data component testing.
- Evaluate data models and interfaces, including data flows, timing, source-to-target mappings, transformations, validations, and controls.
- Keep current with investment domains and provide project guidance through peer reviews.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of related experience working with investment domain data and data management solutions.
- Experience delivering master data management, data integration, data warehousing and reporting, or big data analytics projects in capital markets or investment banking.
- Significant experience with major trading platforms, book-of-record systems, or performance management platforms.
- Experience delivering data documentation artifacts in organizations of similar size and complexity within project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Complex SQL query-writing experience is preferred.
- Clear verbal and written communication, initiative, accuracy, attention to detail, and effective independent and collaborative work are preferred.
- Experience communicating complex methodologies and working in Agile or Scrum environments is preferred.
- Understanding of technology solution lifecycle techniques and exposure to Azure are preferred.
Working Arrangement
- The working arrangement is hybrid.
Compensation
- The referenced salary location is Toronto, Ontario.
- The stated salary range is $113,000 to $163,000 CAD; no compensation cadence is specified.
- Employees may also participate in incentive programs tied to business and individual performance.
