- Lead definition of KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and/or Qlik
- Translate complex datasets into executive level dashboards with data storytelling
- Design and implement robust data models (star schemas, semantic layers)
- Develop and review advanced SQL queries, views, and datasets
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation
- Develop advanced Excel based analytical models and tools
- Establish dashboard standards, templates, and best practices
- Manage dashboard publishing, refresh schedules, access controls, and security
- Present insights and dashboards to senior client stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior analysts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related field
- 14+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data visualization roles
- Advanced experience developing dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, and/or Qlik
- Strong data modeling expertise
- Advanced SQL skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas)

Your Key Responsibilities
- Act as a client facing analytics specialist, engaging directly with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and reporting needs.
- Lead the definition of KPIs, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks aligned with client objectives and governance structures.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting applications using Power BI, Tableau, and/or Qlik.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, executive level dashboards with strong data storytelling and usability.
- Design and implement robust data models (e.g. star schemas, semantic layers) to support scalable and high performance reporting.
- Develop and review advanced SQL queries, views, and datasets to support dashboard and analytics requirements.
- Perform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation to ensure integrity, consistency, and auditability of reported information.
- Develop advanced Excel based analytical models and tools (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas) to support analysis and prototyping.
- Establish dashboard standards, templates, documentation, and best practices suitable for enterprise and government clients.
- Manage dashboard publishing, refresh schedules, access controls, and security (including role based or row level security where applicable).
- Present insights, analyses, and dashboards to senior client stakeholders and support data driven decision making.
- Provide technical guidance, review work, and mentor junior analysts and developers.
Qualifications – Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Strong problem solving abilities and high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to operate in a client facing consulting role and manage senior stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently to firm deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, multi cultural consulting environment.
Technical Competencies
- Advanced experience developing dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, and/or Qlik.
- Strong data modelling expertise, including relationships, measures, calculations, and performance optimisation.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and troubleshooting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas and modelling).
- Experience with dashboard governance, KPI standardisation, and reporting lifecycle management.
Considered an Asset
- Experience delivering analytics solutions for government, infrastructure, utilities, or large enterprise clients.
- Knowledge of data governance, reporting standards, and performance management frameworks.
- Exposure to automation, ETL tools, or scripting languages (e.g. Python).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Western education is preferred.
- 14+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data visualisation roles.
- Demonstrated experience delivering client facing dashboarding and analytics engagements, preferably in consulting or professional services environments.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
