Responsibilities
- Translate upstream crude quality expertise into structured workflows and decision frameworks
- Connect production, operational, and blending signals with expected crude assay outcomes
- Help define prediction logic, confidence indicators, uncertainty drivers, and validation criteria
- Identify relevant data inputs, data quality considerations, missing context, and workflow risks
- Review and validate outputs from a crude quality and assay prediction perspective
- Help ensure outputs are technically credible, explainable, and usable by downstream stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to guide development efforts
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
- Deep expertise in crude assay analysis, crude quality characterization, PVT and fluid properties, upstream production operations, production allocation, flow assurance, operational data interpretation, or crude blending and stream composition
- Strong understanding of how production, operational, and blending changes impact crude quality
- Ability to articulate assumptions, uncertainty, confidence levels, and key quality drivers
- Experience translating complex technical knowledge into structured workflows and decision processes
- Prior involvement in digital, analytics, forecasting, automation, or AI enabled initiatives
- Advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geoscience, or related discipline

Overview
- We are seeking a remote based Senior Crude Quality & Assay Prediction Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an AI assisted workflow that estimates crude quality from upstream production, PVT, flow, blending, and operational data.
- You will partner closely with client stakeholders, engineers, and data scientists to help translate upstream expertise into structured workflows that support AI enabled decision making.

What You'll Bring

Duration & Compensation
- 12 week engagement beginning in late July 2026, with potential for extension.
