Role Overview
The employer is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join its team.
The role requires extensive pre-contract experience and a strong background in commercial real estate.
The position supports delivery within scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead pre-contract cost management responsibilities.
- Provide advice on cost-effective solutions, including value engineering.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage contingency budgets.
- Prepare regular project reports highlighting budget deviations.
- Review project costs, including preliminaries, overheads, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor and train junior cost managers.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to manage projects effectively.
Education
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Professional accreditation such as MRICS, AIQS, or an equivalent qualification is highly preferred.
