Role Overview
The role is for a Senior Cost Accountant based at the company's head office in Dubai, UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly cost reports and analyze variances.
- Audit purchase invoices against purchase orders and agreed pricing.
- Manage UAE VAT compliance, including VAT calculation, FTA registration, and periodic VAT returns.
- Monitor input tax recovery and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Prepare operational budgets and compare actual performance against budgets.
- Implement internal controls and ensure accounting compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- 5–10 years of experience in cost and tax accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of the UAE VAT system, including registration, return filing, and FTA interactions.
- Fluent English, advanced Excel, and ERP system proficiency.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience in F&B, coffee shop, or hospitality is preferred.
- Experience using Foodics accounting software is preferred.
