Senior Corporate Controller

• Oversee all accounting, finance, and financial reporting functions for Benchmark Insurance Group and Rise Group Investments.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership on budgeting, financial planning, and profitability improvement.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, risk management, and financial forecasting.

• Lead month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for both entities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.

• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
• Oversee accounts receivable collections and vendor payments to optimize cash flow.
• Manage financing arrangements, loan compliance, and banking agreements.

• Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory requirements, financial audits, and tax obligations.
• Oversee internal audits and external audit processes, coordinating with CPA firms and regulatory agencies.
• Implement risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and investments.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Implement technology and automation solutions to streamline financial operations.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial reporting accuracy.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Industry experience in insurance, real estate, or investment firms preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting.
• Proven ability to implement financial systems and process improvements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
