Role Description

  • The Senior Account Manager will oversee the day to day management and strategic direction of key corporate accounts, while managing and supporting a team of PR professionals.
  • The role requires someone confident working directly with senior client stakeholders, developing communications strategies and ensuring consistent delivery of high quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of corporate clients and serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Developing and implementing strategic PR and communications plans aligned with client objectives.
  • Leading corporate communications campaigns, media relations, thought leadership and executive profiling.
  • Identifying strong editorial angles and proactive media opportunities for clients.
  • Drafting and overseeing press releases, opinion articles, interview briefs, pitches and other communications materials.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with journalists, editors and key media across the UAE and wider GCC.
  • Managing, mentoring and reviewing the work of the account team.
  • Delegating responsibilities effectively and ensuring all client deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Overseeing client reporting, meetings, timelines, budgets and account performance.
  • Supporting new business pitches, proposals and client growth opportunities.
  • Providing senior counsel to clients on reputation management, messaging and media strategy.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Between 5 and 8 years of public relations and communications experience.
  • Previous experience working within a Dubai based PR or communications agency is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience managing corporate, B2B, professional services or technology clients.
  • Strong, established media relationships across the UAE and wider GCC.
  • Excellent understanding of the regional media landscape and what constitutes a strong news story.
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and advising senior stakeholders.
  • Previous experience managing, mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong press release, pitching, editing and corporate writing capabilities.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple accounts, deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strategic, commercially aware and confident taking ownership of accounts.
  • Arabic language capabilities are advantageous but not essential.
