About the Role
Build algorithmic foundations that enable autonomous robots to move with high precision, stability, and compliance.
Own the estimation and controls stack from mathematical formulation and optimized implementation through lab tuning and fleet deployment.
Work across warehouses, factories, data centers, and customer sites while collaborating with research, hardware, and deployment teams.
Reason about closed-loop stability, production deployment, and large codebases.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and tune low-level PID and H2/H-infinity controllers and optimal control schemes such as MPC.
- Develop controls for capabilities including multi-robot coordination and seamless teleoperation interfaces.
- Evaluate fleet controls performance and deploy adaptive-control and auto-tuning schemes across robots.
- Implement optimization- and sampling-based path planning, localization, and mapping using onboard sensors.
- Diagnose real-world failures with research, hardware, and deployment teams and translate findings into robust onboard behavior.
