Senior Contracts Manager (PMO)

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Oversee complex FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke contract administration and compliance with contractual obligations and KSA law.
• Identify contractual and financial risks and develop strategies to protect company and client interests.
• Lead assessment, negotiation, and resolution of variations, change orders, claims, and potential disputes.
• Lead and mentor Contract Managers and provide strategic direction across the contract management portfolio.
• Develop commercial and contract management strategies that support project objectives, timely deliverables, and value maximization.
• Evaluate Change Requests and manage change documentation through finalizing EIs and VOs.
• Support project budgets and prepare reports, forecasts, and cost analyses for senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate procurement activities and maintain relationships with consultants, suppliers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Develop contingency plans, advise on contract interpretation, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Represent the project in commercial discussions and negotiations and provide training and guidance to team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Law.
• Minimum 15 years of commercial and/or contracts management experience across multiple construction sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of cost and commercial management, procurement, and contract management principles.
• Proven track record managing large-scale projects and delivering within budget and schedule.
• Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial tools.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and resolve disputes effectively.

Desired Skills

• MRICS professional certification is preferred.
• Experience in PMO projects is highly desirable.
• Strategic thinking, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities are desired.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in financial reporting, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are desired.
