Join Grant Thornton's Business Risk Services team delivering risk solutions, internal controls, audit frameworks, and resilience initiatives.
The Senior Consultant role focuses on client delivery, strategy, financial risk management, and team supervision.
Consulting and Audit Delivery
- Prepare terms of reference, audit planning documents, business proposals, fieldwork, close-out documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Execute financial risk management assignments in financial services, covering capital, liquidity, credit, market risk, stress testing, internal risk models, data management, and risk reporting.
- Conduct current-state assessments, gap analyses, and Target Operating Model design.
- Build and implement risk reporting processes and update risk policies, procedures, and standards.
- Plan and supervise audits assigned to junior colleagues and lead planning and exit meetings.
Client and Financial Management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Formulate practical recommendations and assist clients with implementation and discrepancy resolution.
- Support billing, income collection, profitability budgets, and financial review processes.
- Complete file reviews and prepare reports for assistant manager and engagement manager review.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years of internal audit or risk management experience within a top international consulting firm is required.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance is essential.
- A qualified-level CA UK, CPA, ACA, or ACCA professional qualification is mandatory.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English are required.
- Arabic is advantageous.
Technical and Personal Skills
- Strong data analytics knowledge is required for analyzing large datasets and detecting anomalies.
- Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
- The role requires a general understanding of internal audit and quality assurance processes and expectations.
